Samsung galaxy C5 and C7 launched in China

Samsung, today launched first Galaxy C-Series smartphone, the Galaxy C5. The Samsung Galaxy C5 runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS with a super AMOLED full HD display of 5.2-inch (1080×1920 pixel) screen and can hold two SIM cards in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration. Coming with 4GB RAM the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC with four Cortex-A53 core clocked at 1.2GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5GHz.

This new Samsung gadget comes with a 16-megapixel rear autofocus camera with a flash module and f/1.9 aperture, along with an 8-megapixel front facing the camera with the same aperture. The smartphone comes in two variants with inbuilt storage options of 32GB and 64GB that are expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB). The Galaxy C5 supports 4G LTE networks on only one SIM.

The smartphone has dimensions 145.9x72x6.7mm and weighs in at 143 grams. Connectivity options on the Galaxy C5 include Micro-USB, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and NFC. Featuring a battery of 2600mAh this smartphone can deliver up to 237 hours of standby time on 4G

On May 25, Samsung India launched Galaxy Tab Iris, first Aadhaar compliant device. Earlier this month several media houses reported of TENAA approval for Galaxy C5 smartphone.Priced at CNY 2,199 and CNY 2,399 respectively for two storage variants. The metal-clad Galaxy C5 smartphone is available for pre-orders in China, and will go live for sale in the first week of June.

On the other hand, C7 is a much larger smartphone with a 5.7-inch SuperAMOLED full HD display powered by 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU. C7 comes with an inbuilt storage of 32GB and 64GB variations and a 3300mAh battery. Both of devices come in silver, gold, black and rose gold and have an inbuilt Samsung Pay option.
