Nokia 6 Launched! Nokia 8 Leaked at CES 2017?

Nokia brand made a comeback earlier this month with Nokia 6 from HMD Global.  The device received a whopping 250,000 Registrations in 24 Hours for the flash sale.

While the anxiety surrounding Nokia 6 didn’t yet settle down, there are rumours doing rounds about a purported Nokia 8 smartphone. The device is expected to be announced at WMC 2017 next month. Qualcomm reportedly showcased Nokia 8 at CES 2017 to demonstrate SnapDragon 835 SOC. Nokia 8 is rumoured to be available in two variations with a SnapDragon 835 SOC, 6 GB and 4GB of RAM, 64 GB/128 GB of storage, microSD card support. However, Qualcomm refuted the claims that it showcased Nokia 8 at the event.

On the other hand, Nokia 6 smartphone features a 5.5 inch full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection.  is priced at CNY 1699 (roughly Rs. 16,750). The gadget works on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC powered by a 4GB of RAM with internal storage of 64GB.  The device is a unibody built and uses 6000 series aluminium.  The gadget features a fingerprint sensor on the home button. It comes with a rear 16-megapixel  camera with phase detection auto focus & dual-tone flash and a front 8-megapixel camera. The gadget works on 3,000 mAh battery and has Dolby Atmos technology & ‘dual amplifiers’ for better sound quality. The device is priced at RMB 1,699 on JD.com.

HMD is the licensor of Nokia brand and is scheduled to release a number of smartphones in 2017.

The device has dual sim capability and has GPS, Bluetooth, USB OTG, FM, 3G & 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Compass Magnetometer, Ambient light sensor,  Accelerometer and Gyroscope.
