Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio has cut down the prices of its Lyf smartphones by up to INR 1,000. As per initial reports, the LYF handsets now available on discounted prices are Flame 4, Flame 5, Flame 2, Flame 6, Wind 6 and Water 2. The Flame 4, Flame 5, and Flame 6 now come with a price tag of INR 2,999, i.e, Rs 1,000 less than the original price. While the Flame 2 is now available at a discount of INR 1,300 on the original price.
The Lyf Water 2 and Wind 6 are now available at INR 9,499 and INR 5,999 respectively with INR 4,000 and INR 500 discounts on the original price. Users will also get 2-year warranty and free 4G data for 3 months on Jio network with the purchase of LYF smartphones. These budget smartphones are now available for sale at approved retail stores and Reliance Digital Stores.
Reliance Communications users to avail 4G Services.
Reliance earlier launched Earth 2 smartphone in its LYF series priced at INR 21,599. On the other hand, Anil Ambani owned Reliance Communications has entered into a spectrum-sharing agreement with Mukesh Ambani owned Jio Infocomm. With this agreement, CDMA customers of RCom in Mumbai, Delhi, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh circles on upgradation can avail 4G services. Reliance Jio is the largest 4G Spectrum holder in India.
Jio Infocomm recently raised Rs 2,000 crore through issuance of non-convertible debentures which carry a coupon rate of 8.32 percent per annum. The issue happened on Electronic Book Provider platform of Bombay Stock Exchnage (BSE).
