Twitter co-founder and current CEO Jack Dorsey‘s twitter account was reportedly hacked on 9th July. The hacker group which goes by the name OurMine and calls itself a new age internet security firm. This is the same group that hacked Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s Quora account earlier last month. The three-man hacker outfit also hacked Facebook CEO Mark’s Twitter and Pinterest accounts and another twitter Co-founder Dick Costolo’s twitter account.

The hacker group uses the vulnerabilities in the connected apps. On Dorsey’s account the team posted a few benign video clips, along with a tweet went up at 2:50AM ET saying: “Hey, its OurMine,we are testing your security, visit Ourmine.org”. The tweets on Jack’s account from the hacker group were reportedly deleted later. However, Engadget managed to get the screenshot of the tweet.
Dick Costolo later clarified that his twitter account wasn’t compromised but a connected account was compromised that was used to cross post. While Dorsey’s account seemed to be hacked because of vulnerabilities on Twitter’s own video site Vine.co
TheNextWeb quoted OurMine group having contacted Quora for reporting security vulnerabilities . The hacker group also claims the hacking of accounts is due to the LinkedIn password dump that happened in May this year.
